Welcome to the Korean Association for Digital Humanities (KADH)
Digital Humanities is an innovative approach that intersects humanities research and education with digital environments and data processing technologies. In our modern world, communication and expression rely heavily on various digital mediums. Through digital humanities, we aim to revitalize humanities research with creative approaches and effectively harness the resulting knowledge. Moreover, we strive to nurture digital literacy among the digital-native generation, the future leaders of our societies.
Established as a consortium in May 2015, KADH serves as a shared platform for individuals and groups currently engaged in, or interested in digital humanities research and education. Our purpose is to enhance the digital humanities landscape in Korea by sharing experiences and expertise. We offer education programs to traditional humanities scholars and emerging researchers interested in exploring new digital methodologies. Additionally, the association strives to serve as a hub encompassing domestic and international digital humanities activities by advising the government and affiliated academic institutions on policies related to fostering digital humanities and engaging in exchanges with overseas digital humanities organizations.
KADH warmly invites participation from individuals, groups, and institutions alike. Whether interested in digital humanities research, education, interdisciplinary research enabled by digital technologies, or bridging academia with creative industry, we welcome your involvement. Our focus is on establishing a network of Korean language researchers and professionals from associated industries, but we are inclusive of anyone living in Korea or those interested in Korean digital humanities.
